This is a really interesting read. I've never thought of this issue in terms of sexism. Now that you've put it in those terms, it makes sense.

Previously, I'd only ever thought about how we unjustly judge one another. I was one of those "alternative" women who used to judge basic "sorority girl" types back when I was younger.

Then I got older and found myself as the one coming under fire because I got my nails done, wore heels, and no longer dyed my hair crazy colors.

Now I was the "sheltered," "dumb," "basic bitch." That has been super annoying!

But it totally makes sense how this is just a way for us to stay separated and to lose power as a united force. Thanks for writing this piece.
