Yes, but you left out editing. My articles take about 15 minutes to write. My most viral article on Medium took hundreds of hours to edit.

I edited and re-edited it over the course of a couple of years. It was meant to be the first chapter of a memoir. I published it here and it’s earned over $6,000. The articles I’ve spent just an hour editing usually earn what you’d expect. A few dollars.
